Just got back from SAF Day parade, anyway it's the 40th anniversary of army. Dont feel the excitement that i had from the parade last time when my batch mate were still in the band. Well i guess it suck to be the last to ORD, anyway joel i saw your PAUL in no.4 at the parade as audience. Felt that i wasted most of my time waiting for the parade to end.
But this year was quite different normally i would be in the parade playing my horn, this time round am sitting at the grandstand watching the parade. Actually it's quite different when your the spectator, can see the soldiers standing in the parade suffering hahahaha. Well i been through that before. By the way i was in no.1 too and i did join in the parade as a bass drum stand carrier basically carry the drum stand in for the drummers to place their drum so they dont need to carrier that heavy shit throughout the entire parade. Then before the march past, i need to remove the stand before the band marches off.I felt that the whole parade this morning wasted my entire sunday. Firstly fall in 8am, then go SAFTI for morning rehersal till about 11am. Then break till 4pm to change to parade uniform, then parade start at about 5pm. Its like i wasted most of the time waiting could have gone to church or a movie then suffer there. Everyone was like sleeping in the squash court like some captive animal in a glass cage very funny la.
But then the food the organiser provided were great had western lunch with puddings and cookies for desserts. Later in the afternoon there was tea break snacks chicken pie with soft drink. Then dinner was KFC chicken with a can of cold 100 plus. It like the first time i see KFC dinner provided quite a moral riser after a tiring day a good meal will cheer me up. Anyway it's confirmed that this parade is my last parade coz am going to go for excuses not to take part in any other parades. The main cause for this is my bleeding toe wow the pain is like sensational la, can feel the pain everytime i walk. So hope that i get a super long excuse so that i can ORD in peace. And most importantly 34 more days to ORD!!!
